Craft of Origin is operated from Changsha, China. The legal operator is named on your order confirmation and invoice, and that document is your proof of purchase.
Handwoven pieces made to order in Bobai, Guangxi, sold to shops, designers and studios, and to individual buyers in the countries listed on our site. We do not hold stock: your order is produced after it is placed.
A quote states what is being made, how many, the delivered price, and when it will arrive. The delivered price includes freight, duty and tax to the city you gave us — we do not add charges afterwards. A quote is valid for 14 days.
An order starts when you confirm the quote and pay the deposit stated on it. Because every piece is made to your specification, changes are free until weaving starts and are not possible after it. If you cancel before weaving starts, the deposit is refunded in full. After weaving starts it is not, because the material has already been cut and dried for your order.
Production is 20 to 30 days from the start of weaving, then 7 to 10 days by air or 30 to 40 by sea. These are estimates, not guarantees: sun-drying depends on weather and carriers depend on their own networks. If a date is going to slip, we tell you before the deadline, not after.
Orders are delivered duty paid to the address you gave. Risk passes to you when the order is signed for. If a shipment arrives damaged, photograph it before unpacking and send it to us within 7 days; we will deal with the carrier and replace the damaged pieces.
If a piece is faulty, or does not match the agreed specification, tell us within 14 days of delivery with photographs. We will remake it or refund it. This does not affect any rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.
Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited. Otherwise our liability on an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer protection that the law of your own country gives you.
